Ryan has been teaching and studying the game of golf for over 20 years. His love for the game began at age four, when his father first put a club in his hands. An all-around athlete, Ryan played hockey, golf, football, and baseball growing up, developing a strong competitive foundation that still shapes his approach to the game today.
Ryan spent eight years in Colorado working as an Assistant Golf Professional at two world-class, award-winning golf courses. He later moved to Idaho, where he served as Head Golf Professional at River Birch Golf Course, followed by Assistant Golf Professional at Crane Creek Country Club, before becoming Director of Golf at Lakeview Golf Course. Throughout his career, Ryan has worked with golfers of all ages and skill levels and has implemented successful programs for men, women, and junior golfers.
Ryan believes the mental and fitness aspects of golf are critical to long-term improvement and incorporates both into his instruction philosophy. He has competed professionally in numerous PGA Pro-Am tournaments and actively supports charitable golf events. Ryan is a leading professional for PGA Junior League and is deeply committed to youth golf development. With three young daughters at home, he has a strong passion for teaching junior golfers and growing the game for future generations.
In addition to youth development, Ryan proudly supports and teaches PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere), introducing the game of golf to military veterans as a form of rehabilitation and community building. He also founded and hosted the 1st Annual Veterans Cup Tournament, honoring those who have served and using golf as a way to give back.
Ryan enjoys meeting the hundreds of thousands of people he has encountered throughout his golfing career and believes golf is a key component to life—building character, relationships, and lifelong enjoyment.
Ryan offers private and group instruction for adults and juniors. Pricing and booking information provided on website.
